@Krista, I know what you're talking about.=) I use those to line my makeup drawers. I forgot to mention in the review that the sticky backing doesn't adhere well to shoes with fabric foot beds so your trick sounds useful.

For closed toed shoes, you can also use those foam shelf liners (the ones with the square holes in them). I stuck a piece in the toe of my shoe and it didn't move an inch, and I didn't even have to glue it down.

Thank you so much for having OCD! I was inspired to create my own from your example, and I love it...with one minor tweak. I have arthritis, and it is difficult for me to get the brush I want without disturbing the others. I don't know if I can post a link here, but you can find my solution if you search on Amazon for "7-1/4 Tall Acrylic Box - Crystal Clear." This box has a deeper lid which, when removed, allows more maneuverability. (sp?) Thank you again!

The product is still up on PF's site though, so hopefully they're sticking around. =) Sometimes drugstores have clearances just to get rid of older makeup.
